A Passport

Yesterday I went to the post office and applied for a passport. While I don't yet have a place to go, I realized that I couldn't just pick up and go if I wanted to. One of my co-workers got a great deal on tickets to France. He and his wife were able to go on a trip on a few weeks notice because they both had passports. Since a passport is good for ten years, why not get one now? It should arrive within three months and I can't wait to go someplace.

I can't wait to hear about your first trip! Hopefully it will come soon.

And they will only continue to get more expensive, too . . . not that I actually know, just what I've heard. :-) I hear travelzoo.com is the place to be for incredible last minute deals.

Josh and I got ours a couple years ago and have yet to use them. But, at least we have them so when a large sum of money falls in our laps, we can be off to distant lands, passports in hand.

Great idea. It doesn't hurt to be prepared. I obtained my first one in case I was needed in Australia at a moment's notice when Jeremy was on his mission. I was glad I had it when it came time to travel for pleasure. Fortunately, I never needed to rush to Australia.

It's always great to have a passport. I wouldn't be without one! I never thought I would do the traveling that I have and would travel on a moment's notice!
